Presentation of agriculture biodynamic
European agriculture currently passes through an important crisis. This crisis
is characterized by two great points : In a few years, the consequences of these drifts led us to ask us many questions : in the future, will the Earth still give us that which the Men need for their physical existence ? What do we really eat ?... Behind these essential questions the question of responsibility appears, in environment, production, quality of food or social fabric. Even if agriculture is only partly responsible for the situation where the biosphere is (in consequence of industrial and economic rise), it is always quoted in the debate. The stakes and the consequences are such, that each one today feels concerned. To speak about responsibility supposes that there is an ethics and reasons to act. One reproaches the intensive agriculture for having moved away from the conditions of a durably stable and healthy work. Moreover, the constant difficulties encountered by the agricultural policy tend to prove to us that the industrial methods are not adapted to agriculture, a trade where one works with alive beings. But the idea of a durable, respectful environment production, satisfactory on the quantitative and qualitative level, is not new. Since 1924, Rudolf Steiner gave the bases of what was going to become biodynamic agriculture. Even if the number of farms which work according to the methods of biodynamic agriculture or organic is still too weak, in particular in France, alternatives exist and be tried and tested.
